Working in a school with low SATs results  Huh we are always looking for 'exciting' ways to help children learn.  We have been particularly successful in raising our Science results (average 96% L4+, 55% L5 in comparison with 60% L4+ Maths!)  One of the main factors in this has been our use of 'That's Science' songs by Tim Harding.  The children learn/revise most of the required science knowledge through these songs including the important vocabulary.  I developed hand and body movements to accompany to words and to cater for kinaesthetic learners.  Watching them do the actions and hearing them quietly sing the words to themselves during SATs tests shows just how effective these songs are.  I would recommend them to everyone!
